This book was written in the furnace of affliction. It was in that crucible of trials that I encountered a stranger—his name was Calvin Rose. Through this meeting, I discovered boldness, courage, tenacity, relentlessness, and the willingness to reinvent myself and become the person I aspired to be.

I learned the importance of believing in myself above all else. I always knew that if others had the ability to achieve greatness, I could too—I just needed to find my path.

As guided by the words of 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV): "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth," I realized I had to stop living by the lies I was taught—lies that nearly destroyed my life. Instead, I sought the truth for myself. Only then did I find freedom—freedom to be me.

Today, I am completely liberated from the bondage of self-defeating behaviors, thanks to the grace of God and the support of others. I can’t do it alone, but together, we can.
